Rooney feels only Messi And Ronaldo who can break his record at Manchester United, Jemawa?
Wayne Rooney said Manchester United must bring Lionel Messi or Cristiano Ronaldo to break his goal record at the Red Devils.
Rooney left Manchester United to join Everton after 13 years of defending the Red Devils. He said the player would not stay in one place for a long time, enough time to break his record.
“You never know, if they get someone like Messi or Ronaldo that record might be broken,” said Rooney quoted from espnfc.com (6/8)
“Now in football I feel players tend not to actually exist in one club during that time. The only way to be broken if someone survives the same period as me. ”
“It’s fantastic leaving a mark behind us. This is a great legacy. I left Manchester United with great memories. It was a successful era for the club and great for me. ”
“I like it there, I love working with players but this is for me the right time to move forward and I feel making the right decision to come to Everton,” said Rooney.
Special moments of the 250th goal
Rooney broke Sir Bobby Carlton’s record at Manchester United when scored the equalizer at the end of the game against Stoke in January.
“Scoring a goal against Stoke for United last season was an important moment for me because it means,” added Rooney. “It was a big moment like me as a player.”
And now he is preparing for his second Premier League debut with Everton against the same club this weekend.
Currently Manchester United have a sharp striker Romelu Lukaku who was 24 years old. There is also Marcus Rashford who has a bright future and is still 19 years old. (Source: espnfc.com)
